Al-Salt Secondary School for Boys is located in the city of Al-Salt in Jordan. It is on top of Tal Al-Jadoor on the southern side of the old Al-Salt, overlooking Wadi Al-Salt from the south, at the entrance to the city from the east, and on the old and new neighborhoods from all sides. It is located in the thirty-seventh order, according to the schools in the Kingdom. The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan was the first in terms of secondary schools in the Kingdom, and the first rain gauge in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan was established in it.
Al-Salt Secondary School was established in 1918, and teaching began in 1919. It is considered one of the first schools established in Jordan, and teaching took place in a rented building. Construction began on the ground floor in 1921 and was completed in 1923. Today, the school consists of two floors. It was inaugurated by the founding King Abdullah I Bin Al-Hussein on December 28, 1923, with 17 rooms for administration and teaching, and it was the first government secondary school to be built in the Emirate of Transjordan at the time.
On May 16, 1976, King Hussein bin Talal awarded her the Medal of Independence of the First Class.
